Celebrating a 40 year anniversary through personalized videos

Kop & Kande wanted to celebrate their 40th anniversary by creating a WOW moment for their customers. They created personalized videos where each customer was met with a personal greeting and content based on their behavior and data – in addition to connecting both their local stores and webshop together.

Like many brands, Kop & Kande saw that they were lacking customer data such as birth date on all customers. They therefore encouraged their viewers to update their customer profile - taking true advantage of the attention created by the personalized videos. 

Significant increase in data quality

Kop & Kande saw a 40% improvement in conversion (purchases) among customers who watched the video, compared to those who did not.

Among the video viewers, more than 40% chose to update their data. This represents a total increase of 13% in their "birthday database.". This enables Kop & Kande to distribute relevant communication at the right time in the future. 

Churn on the campaign was at 0.02%, compared to the standard of 0.07%. This means only about 16 complaints out of 135,000 recipients, showing that personalized not only generates revenue and updated data - but that it is also well received among customers.

52% of video watchers chose to watch their video a second time, resulting in a significant amount of minutes spent with their brand.
